Adorning the sterling silver temples is DETAJ’s signature ‘bandage’ finish, a nod to none other than the material used to bind and protect the hand wounds that are an inevitable part of a craftsman’s journey. The particularity of the auction pair lies in its ‘écriture’ etchings, applied through a technique of both the hand and machine to render a furrowed stripe pattern on the front as well as the back of the horn.
