We asked ourselves, “How do you bring real-life events onchain, in a way that benefits both attendees and event organizers?” The solution was to keep it simple. We embedded entry bands into the event with NFC technology that minted NFTs for partygoers when they tapped them with their phones. We thought a few people would participate. But over 250 non-crypto native people minted a token throughout the night (on @coinbase ‘s Base L2 chain) This was just a test, but in the future, we imagine a world where people can collect memories from live events in the form of NFTs, and tokens can act as an onchain proof of attendance for event organizers to reward concertgoers with special perks.
