下條ユリさんのインスタグラム写真 - (下條ユリInstagram)「#表具 #scroll mounting 試作プロセス ① (日本語↓) test There were several challenges to mount my painting as the scroll, which I had been dreaming of. I primarily work on washi Japanese papers because I love their various characteristics and textures. I especially love to work on thick, sturdy ones with a strong presence—however, this time, I had to work on thin papers that could be rolled up. In addition to sumi ink and Gansai Japanese watercolors, I wanted to use handmade natural ink by @torontoinkcompany mainly for "Indra's Net". We had to ensure it would not be washed with water and glue during the process. The paper specialty @kamiji_kakimoto helped me to pick several types of paper that suited my style of expression from their selection of paper for mounting. I worked on some drawings with and without sizing on them and brought them to the master scroll mounters @seikadou1923 They tested the mounting process carefully so I could choose the right paper based on the result. Then, finally, I could be ready to work on the painting. 今回、念願の表装を試みるにあたって、数々のチャレンジがありました。近年の作品はだいたい和紙に描いていますが、和紙が持つ様々な個性が好きで、特に存在感のある厚い紙を好んでいます。しかし今回は巻くことができる薄い紙に描かなけれがいけなかったこと。そしていつもの墨と顔彩だけではなく『インドラの網』では特に天然成分の手づくりインクを使ったので、裏打ちの段階で絵の具が流れないかどうか、でした。紙司柿本さん @kamiji_kakimoto で表具に適した紙のセレクションの中からわたしの表現の仕方に合う紙を数種類選び、にじみ留めドーサ有無と合わせて試し描きをし、そこから表具師清華堂さん @seikadou1923 に入念にテストを重ねていただいた結果、最も適した紙に作画していく準備を整えました。　＊下條ユリ　線と点と　展 Yuri Shimojo Exhibition in Kyoto “A line and a dot and” 〜 11.26 (日) 毎週　金、土、日　 11:30-17:00 予約不要 @farmoon_kyoto Farmoon 茶楼　左京区北白川東久保田町九 Kyoto Japan #表具 #表装 #掛け軸 #scrollpainting」11月18日 11時23分
