This photo was taken in the stairwell of my apartment in Hollywood in 1997 by Roddy McDowall, the great actor, film historian and photographer. Roddy started his career in the early 40’s with directors such as Fritz’s Lang and John Ford. It was a joy to talk to him about cinema. He had such a depth of knowledge in film history and enjoyed sharing it. #roddymcdowall
