Akira Sasaki @akiraexploring competed in the Far East Cup at Sugadaira Ski Resort in Nagano Prefecture. In what is effectively the highest race on the Asian continent, Akira Sasaki finished 5th. He had to cover up a shoulder injury sustained at the beginning of the year and had to compete in races in North America and Asia, which caused pain in his knee and left him with wounds both physically and mentally. He took painkillers and worked as hard as possible to recover his strength and spirit until the very last minute before the race. However, once he started to ski, his spirited performance caught the attention of the audience. This winter will mark the second year of his challenge to become the world's No. 1 skier after recovering from his injury and training again. Akira Sasaki is currently ranked 4th in Japan.
