The 35 year-old Yanez has emerged as one of the most talented and respected coaches in @nwsl over the past three seasons, as the top assistant with Gotham FC from 2021 and 2022, and as the top assistant with Racing Louisville in 2023. Bev helped guide Racing Louisville to the 2023 NWSL Challenge Cup Final, and also helped lead Gotham FC to the Challenge Cup Final and NWSL Playoffs in 2021. Yanez earned her US Soccer Federation A-Senior License in 2023, and has also worked as a coach in the @usynt setup, spending time as an assistant coach with the U15 National Team in 2022 and 2023. Yanez joined the coaching ranks after an impressive 10-year professional playing career, most notably making 123 appearances and scoring 25 goals for Seattle Reign FC (now OL Reign), winning the NWSL Shield with the Reign in 2014 and 2015, and being named to the NWSL Best XI Team and a NWSL MVP Finalist in 2015. Bev’s playing career also included stops in Australia, Finland and Japan, winning trophies with every club along the way. She won the 2011 Women’s Professional Soccer League title with the Western New York Flash, the 2011 Finnish Naisten Liiga crown with PK-35, back-to-back Japanese Nadeshiko League championships in 2012 and 2013 with INAC Kobe Leonessa, and the 2017 Australian W-League crown with Melbourne City. Bev also earned Best XI honors and the Nadeshiko League Golden Boot in 2013 with a league-best 13 goals. Originally from Southern California, Bev also gave birth to her second daughter with her husband OT earlier this month. Massively proud of you, Bev!
