This year for @designmiami, Fendi has invited BLESS, a transdisciplinary studio founded in 1997 by Desiree Heiss and Ines Kaag in Paris and Berlin, to create a collection in response to their time spent with the Maison and its employees.

For more than 25 years BLESS has offered inventive connections between art and design, fashion and architecture, new definitions for objects and products and creative solutions in business and social practices. For their collaboration, titled Fendibackfrontals, BLESS gained access to Fendi from a multitude of entry points, both public and personal, corporate and individual, to honour the Maison’s complexity.

“With Fendibackfrontals, BLESS is looking to bring the inside out and offer a more complete and human view of a global fashion brand. Visitors are offered direct access to an embodied translation of the admiration BLESS feels towards both the public and private sides of Fendi and the extraordinary craftsmanship that supports it” – BLESS, 2023
