Carmelo Anthony, the former Knicks star, and the Kid Mero, a.k.a. the comedian Joel Martinez, have a new show in which they will discuss their favorite subjects: basketball and New York.

The native New Yorkers — Anthony grew up in public housing in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn; Martinez is from the Bronx — are teaming up for a weekly series titled “7PM in Brooklyn,” which will be available on YouTube and Spotify starting Thursday. They expect to primarily discuss their two main interests, though other subjects will be fair game. (“If you tune in one day and it is Meryl Streep and us, you shouldn’t be shocked,” Martinez said.)
