Over time, sharp tailoring became the emblematic silhouette of Schiaparelli. Strong shoulders, fitted waists, shoulder pads, wide lapels, shawl collars, boat necklines and accents of feathers or frothy scarves are all variations of the tailored silhouette that made the Maison so successful in the 1940s.
