While not an official part of the trip itinerary, the spontaneous night walks Guyton enjoys are when some of Costa Rica’s species are most active. The rainforested Central American country is teeming with incredible biodiversity and wildlife. When venturing out at night here, you may come across sloths, owls, nocturnal mammals such as armadillos and kinkajous, or certain species of frogs, snakes, and insects.
