I need to take a min to respond to yesterday's pic about DEFINING YOUR LIFE. For those saying "it's easy to say it's more about defining your life when you already 'have' arms/abs," I need to go there with you... If it were JUST about the look of your body, "health" wouldn't be so important. We wouldn't have doctors. Fitness and health professionals share a common objective of prolonging life.

What we look like changes everyday. As we get older, we will NOT keep the same physicality! It's impossible...BUT...if you define and improve your LIFE by making health and fitness a lifestyle, then later in life when you don't have the biceps and the abs you can appreciate how you feel and how you have "defined" your life through hard work.

If I I did what I did with the primary focus on how one looks, I would be disappointed everyday because that's so shallow to me. What I want is for each of you to understand that my focus is on helping you go to that place you FEAR most—then overcoming that fear by challenging yourself to define your life. Live by your terms—mentally and physically. Remember, it ain't about how strong your arms if you can't hold up your life. #motivaSHAUN #monday #strength
