PSA: this is riptide awareness week. we lost a swimmer last week in Hermosa Beach to a riptide.

if you ever get caught in a riptide, don't fight it, go with it. save your energy and then swim parallel along shore then you'll be able to head back in. most of the deaths come from over exertion trying to fight the riptide combined with being pounded by the waves. the more you know ✨? be safe and enjoy summer!
