Inspired by @salvarezphoto (Stephen Alvarez's) Feb 2011 @ナショナルジオグラフィック article about the underground world of Paris, I went to visit the catacombs yesterday during a personal visit to Paris. Pretty amazing to walk through 1km of passages deep under Paris, completely lined with piles of human bones, relocated to these former underground quarries from overcrowded cemeteries in the 18th and 19th centuries. #paris, #france
