About 29 kilometers (18 miles) south of the Laos city of Luang Prabang sits a majestic, three-tiered wall of water called the Kuang Si falls. After cascading down the tiered 200-foot rock face, the water collects in a series of pools that are a popular draw for locals and tourists alike.

The turquoise cascading pools, a common feature of travertine waterfalls, are open for swimming and are a popular subject for Instagramming visitors.
