20 Years Ago 2 Pals w/ a dream spent their first week in NYC putting the finishing touches on a song called "Do You Want More?!!??!!" at Battery Studios w an engineer named Bon Power (who incidentally let a client of his come pick a tape of a mix of his called "Sh** Damn Mo*********r" Bob claimed this cat was gonna be a genius. I thought "eh I don't like RNB mofos too much....little did I know lol) because of the analog world of 1993, what would normally take us 6 hours to do today took 11 hours to accomplish. Thus we has time on our hands. We had some passes to see the Tribe/DeLa/SoulsOf NYE show at the Palladium that night. Man we were amped. In the front row wilding out. We just got our advances so we had super fresh gear on and you couldn't tell us nothing. You especially couldn't tell me that 20 years later we'd still be living our dreams from high school. Giving our own concert in front of 15,000 people on the Gold Coast of Australia some 16 albums, and 5 Grammys later. Raising a toast to my favorite MC ever.
