I'm working on these graphics for this event at the #PortlandArtMuseum, should be fun. Join us!
"Sit down with some local farmers, a curator, a chef, and an artist to talk about the pleasures and politics of food through the lens of the potato, one of our most common vegetables. Two potato-based courses will be served, one inspired by Feast and another by Famine. As we eat, we’ll talk about food as a source for sustenance and opulence, loneliness and greed, conversation and revolution. Then we'll see what stands out in the current print exhibit Feast and Famine, the inspiration for this project.

The food (or potatoes) will be prepared by James Beard Award-winning chef Cory Schreiber, who founded the acclaimed Wildwood restaurant and is currently Culinary Artist in Residence at the Art Institute of Portland. Drinks will be made by Merit Badge. Farmers in attendance include Laleña Dolby and Sara Cogan from Zenger Farm, Justin Green from Working Theory Farm, Danny Percich from Full Plate Farm, and Josh Volk from Our Table. Also attending will be Mary Weaver Chapin, Curator of Graphic Arts at the Portland Art Museum and organizer of Feast and Famine (on view through May 4, 2014)."
