Debuting at SIHH 2013, the #Panerai 528 “Lo Scienziato" Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT Ceramica, really is a thing of beauty. We saw the Radiomir version of this piece back in 2010 with the 348 and 350. This version however features a 48mm 1950’s Ceramic case with a Titanium display back casing showing off the P.2005/S in house Tourbillon movement. The term Lo Scienziato, which translates to “The Scientist” is a piece that was a direct tribute to Galileo Galilei. His discoveries had a revolutionary impact on the development of mechanical timekeeping, which would not be as it is today without Galileo’s formulation of the law of isochronism of the pendulum.
