On Saturday, March 29, people around the world celebrate Earth Hour (@earthhourofficial), a global movement celebrating environmental consciousness. From 8:30PM to 9:30PM in each region's local time, people across the planet switch off their lights to raise awareness of environmental issues and climate change.

In addition to individual residences, many of the world's major landmarks go dark for the event, granting locals and visiting Instagrammers alike a rare perspective on these famous buildings.
