#wwbsiwishlist3rdround finalist @nick_rose123 about his summer experience : Hey everyone! This summer I will be attending the Pacific Northwest Ballet Summer Program for 5 weeks. I was placed in the highest level with a full scholarship. I am very excited and inspired to go, because there are a few people in the company who went to my school (HARID Conservatory) and are now in the company! I truly had no idea I would even be accepted because when I was a freshman I auditioned and was not even accepted! After 1 and a half years of Harid training I got into the highest level. Which truly means that if you strive for the best anything could happen. In my last entry I explained that I had to work for everything. It's not like I got up one day and made accomplishments. I didn't go anywhere last summer, I just stayed home and gave myself class! The summer before that I went to HARID conservatory for 4 weeks. It was truly an amazing experience and a door was opened to the world of Russian ballet training. I think an absolute must have for summer programs are not any material items. But I think confidence is the absolute "must have" because when you go to a place surrounded by people who are incredible you have to show the staff and your piers why you are there and why you deserve to be there. It's really not about how many turns you can do or high you can jack your hip up. It's about respecting the classical line. I think when you go to a summer program you have to think about what you need to do in order to imporve the legacy of classical ballet. "Trashy ballet" (Tricks) will only get you so far. Just dance because you love it. And look at your facility as a whole. Don't just worry about how your feet look. But how your soul looks when you dance!! Thanks for reading y'all :) Remember ! 1 like = 1 vote!! ☺️?✨ #nicholasrose
