As the sun sets, a dune shadow begins to cross and darken Dead Vlei pan. Dead camel thorn trees are silhouetted against “Big Daddy” dune as the color of the sand intensifies in the warmth of the sun. Dead Vlei is just one of the many wonders of the Namib-Naukluft National Park of Namibia.
