วันวิสาขบูชา เป็นวันสำคัญทางพระพุทธศาสนาของไทย เนื่องจาก เป็นวันคล้ายวันประสูติ ตรัสรู้ และปรินิพพานของพระสัมมาสัมพุทธเจ้า ซึ่งตรงกับวันขึ้น 15 ค่ำ เดือน ของทุกปีตามปฏิทินจันทรคติของไทย พุทธศาสนิกชนนิยมเข้าวัดทำบุญและฟังเทศน์ในวันวิสาขบูชา และที่สำคัญในตอนค่ำจะมีการเวียนเทียนเพื่อบูชาพระรัตนตรัย

Visakha Bucha Day is one of the most important Buddhist festival in the Thai calendar. It celebrates the birth, enlightenment and death of Guatama Buddha. These 3 events all took place on the same day of the year, the full moon day of the sixth lunar month. Thai Bhuddist usually visit the temple, to make a merit and listen to sermons. The highlight of this day is in the evening, where people walk around the main shrine of the temple 3 times to celebrate the 3 jewels of Buddhism (Buddha, his teachings and the monkhood.)
