I just received the most beautiful package. I have no idea who sent it to me because it arrived without a name, sender or return address. I opened this small envelope and out of it poured a bundle of neon yellow glowsticks. And a letter. It reads:

Hi Rachel!

I had this idea after seeing your moms Tröstisar ( @trostisar ). I thought, there really has to be an adult version that can comfort us in the dark moments! A little bit of light in the darkness. I did not have to let my imagination run too wild before it hit me: glowsticks.
Everybody loves glowsticks and there is something so magical about them.
Aside from letting my imagination run wild I felt deeply that I want to give you something more. If munks can bless mala beads then I should be able to bless glow in the dark tubes of plastic.
Because as we both know, we all share the same wisdom, the same spirituality, and we are all connected. So I have blessed these in my very own way. I have danced with them, given them small kisses and I've whispered to them to give you strength when you feel weak, love when the loneliness and emptiness left by Andrea echoes too loudly, and light in all of it's shapes and forms when darkness washes over you.
Just maybe, maybe this can be a little bit of moonlight to for you to carry with you when you need it, under the covers when you don't want people around to wake up at night or you or when you find yourself traveling all around.

You will get through this.
