This is WOODHENGE. It predates STONEHENGE. Surrounding the area of Stonehenge are several ancient sites. Each site was built on top of pre-existing sites over thousands of years, and served as different functions for each culture. At one time, these pegs were towering tall wood pillars. Now they are just placeholders so we can see an idea of what once was.
