I've been photographing my neighbors pets lately as a personal project and it's just as fascinating and rewarding to meet these animals as anything I do for @ナショナルジオグラフィック.
from my neighbor Tam... "Carmen is at least 17 years old. She is a rescued pet, first found after Hurricane Floyd hit South Carolina in 1999. She has also survived being run over by a car, overdosed on antibiotic, and recent emergency surgery for a flipped stomach. She continues to be a loyal and peppy part of our family who teaches us about love, joy and forgiveness every day." #herodog #sullivansislandstories #theanimalcommission @thephotosociety @vincentjmusi
