Ok. This made the sting of the clean & jerk bomb hurt a little less. I nailed my snatch opener and went on to get a meet PR Snatch at 70k/155#. Not my day on clean & jerk. First nationals. Indescribeable experience being up there. Never felt anything like it. Intense competition. I loved every minute. I am so thankful to my support group. The amount of people cheering me on from back home and mash and really everywhere, people i don't even know messaging me saying they watched me lift online...it overwhelms me with emotion and blows my mind. I'm really proud of myself for even getting here being a rookie lifter. That was the goal. And i hear the commentators called me "the gymnast and apparent badass" and "the muscle queen" ...hilarious. On to taking medals at local meets and crushing it at the American Open with even bigger numbers after I work on my technique. I'm just getting started with what I plan on accomplishing. And ya.
