#TBT Prior to its current tower, designed by Gwathmey Siegel & Associates, the Guggenheim had a four-story tower cantilevered over a driveway designed by the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation/Taliesin Associates Architects. The construction of the tower was completed in 1968 by William Wesley Peters, Frank Lloyd Wright’s son-in-law. This photograph from the end of the construction shows it as it stood nearly completed on 89th street in November 1967. #franklloydwright
