Sunrise at the Hulk accompanied by smoke from the El Portal Fire. We woke up with stinging eyes and labored breathing, the massive chuck of rock we were meant to climb was shrouded in haze. Against some better judgement we went for it and climbed anyway and lucky for us it subsided by midday. More importantly, now the fire is 96% contained. Let's hope the fires still burning can be contained quickly and this rain we're experiencing sticks around a while longer. #rainraindontgoaway #california #drought #needh2o
