IMAGE MAKERS: PROCESS OF MAKING "FROZEN BOOTS"
This is the drawing for “Frozen Boots”. Before I start on a project, I sometimes do a rough drawing. Based on these drawings, I confer with the curator about the direction of my work for an exhibition. When I create something all by myself using my hands, I never draw. This is because I believe I’d be wasting my time drawing a 2D sketch of what’s already in my head 3D and then recreating it into an actual 3D form. “Frozen Boots” was created as a result of a fantastic teamwork and drawing was a vital communication tool to accomplish this project. It was also an essential motivation tool to push forward towards a common vision. Consequential by-products which originate in the process of making are also important pieces of artwork.
