Performed correctly it enhances hip, core and shoulder stability, functional strength and power. Just like in the golf swing, getting the appropriate set up is vital. Here you want to set up in a strong hip hinge position with the bell tipped back, lat packed as you grip the bell, and a long spine whilst looking ahead. Your posture feels dynamic before you even start the movement. A good way to increase this feel is to drive the feet (especially heels) through the deck hard just prior to the set. Important: please master a bodyweight Hip Hinge, KB Deadlift and 2-Arm KB Swing before progressing to this.
