Photo by @paleyphoto (Matthieu Paley). Wande (left) digs for #tubers, while Mokoa goes looking for honey and hunts wildlife - it's been like that for thousands of years. It was my last hour with the Hadza of Tanzania, and this beautiful #couple just stopped for a second what they were doing... Could eating like our ancestors make us healthier? Check out the "Evolution of Diet" story this month in National Geographic! Great text by Ann Gibbons. For the FULL IMAGE SERIES, go to @paleyphoto. Hadza are full time hunter-gatherer - they do not practice agriculture, herd animals or even store any food. When they get up early morning, there is nothing to eat in camp. They just head out in the savannah and feed from nature. It's a #lifestyle we all had thousands of years ago. The Hadza have been living in this area for approximately 40.000 years and have left no impact on their environment. #Africa #food #latergram #evolutionofdiet #paleodiet #huntergatherer @thephotosociety @natgeocreative
