Wallace’s Flying Frog (Rhacophorus nigropalmatus) ends his portrait session at the Fort Wayne Public Zoo. This frog was shot for ‘The Man Who Wasn’t Darwin’, a story on #AlfredRusselWallace , the man who is credited with having been the co-inspirator for the theory of #Evolution via Natural Selection. This particular species was first discovered and documented by #AlfredRusselWallace himself.
This frog species is particularly interesting because it uses its webbed feet to glide between trees in the canopy of the rain forests to which it is endemic. This little guy wouldn’t sit still as I photographed him, each and every frame drastically different from the next.
