I ran into work the other day to take pictures of the sky and only now got around to the selection. The sky was full of #UndulatusAsperatus clouds and a #StationaryFront loomed over #Manhattan. My assistant @ideaform helped put together this time lapse of the cloud system as it roiled over the #EmpireStateBuilding. A #StationaryFront occurs when a cold air mass meets a warm air mass and the moisture-laden warm air gets held in place by the interaction. A real reminder of the terrifying beauty of nature.
