One in every 691 babies in the the United States is born with Down syndrome, it is a chromosomal condition, the cause is unknown but factors may include genetics and maternal age/health. People with Downs have varying degrees of cognitive delays and physical impairments, but thanks to continuing research the life expectancy has grown to age 60. The awareness I am promoting is for additional research to help increase opportunities for people with Downs to receive education opportunities & rehabilitation to help any cognitive delays. Mainly, we need to see more inclusion for Everyone, regardless of the life they were born into.
