Edisto River, ACE Basin
The landscape here can be primordial with animals resembling modern day dinosaurs; Alligators, Pelicans, Horseshoe Crabs, and Wood Storks to name a few.
This fragile ecosystem nestled and surrounded by development is just 30 miles from Charleston, South Carolina.
It remains one the largest undeveloped estuaries on the east coast, formed by the confluence of the rivers Ashepoo, Combahee and Edisto and preserved by the confluence of a community.
My work from the last 8 years has just been published in the November 2014 issue of @ナショナルジオグラフィック.
