Big news! Alexander Calder's "Gwenfritz" stabile (that’s the opposite of a moving sculpture, a mobile) was designed for a specific spot on the side of our building and installed in 1968. It was moved to another location in the 1980s. Today, it's back in its original site and looks amazing thanks to a conservation project. The stabile, in the collection of the Smithsonian American Art Museum and the Renwick Gallery weighs 35 tons! Here's its story: bit.ly/Gwenfritz #Gwenfritz
