This once giant estuary is now a rio of sand. But last spring, an experimental pulse of water, thanks to a US/Mexican treaty, brought this #delta back to life for 8 weeks. A team of us paddled the crest of that fleeting flood and became the first to float the #Colorado to the sea in ages.
