When we remodeled our house we found this historic 48 star American flag in the rafters above the garage. I did some research and found that the previous owner, Stephen was a WWII fighter pilot. We tried to find his next of kin to pass it along to them. We discovered that he didn't have any, so we framed it and put it in our guest room as a reminder of his sacrifice and dedication to our country and our new home. Veterans Day has a million of these stories, and without these stories we wouldn't be able to enjoy the intricacies of democracy and liberating grace of freedom. To Stephen and every other solider that served: you are appreciated and loved.
