I didn't grow up in church. When I first started going I felt like a fish out of water. The music was wierd to me and the I didn't understand the culture. In the predominately black churches and white churches I visited I never felt at home as a product of hip hop. But there was always someone who welcomed me and took time to accommodate me. When I started doing music, the music industry didn't have a home for a Christian who rapped. I didn't quite feel at home in Gospel or CCM or Urban music industries (which are ironically mirror the ethnicity of the churches I mentioned above). But again there were people who came to me and showed genuine love to me. THESE GUYS --> @tenthavenorth showed me that kind of love. I didn't even know who Steven Curtis Chapman or Amy Grant was, but they didn't hold that against me. Lol. Support and love these dudes.
