Guys. This is SSgt. Justin Morrison. I know his name because he went to high school with our favorite babe #HilarieBurton. She reached out to me, & by extension to all of you, because Justin needs help.
He spent 10 years in the US Air Force as a Security Forces Policeman and K9 Handler. He served in combat in Iraq with his Military Working Dog, Warco. He was medically discharged due to a severe back injury in 2012. At the age of just 32, he is facing his THIRD back surgery. This will be a multi level lumbar fusion surgery -- very intense and scary stuff -- meant to give him some functionality and hopefully some relief from pain. He's looking at a 3-6 month recovery time. And he's the sole provider for his wife and 2 young children. The small percentage of the pension he was able to keep just isn't cutting it. The VA will cover his surgery, but he's left struggling to find a way to cover rent, utilities, car payment, health insurance for his wife & kids etc.
Justin sacrificed an awful lot for his country, and his K9s. Friends started a fundraising campaign, asking for a few thousand dollars for immediate expenses. But imagine. Just IMAGINE if half of us on this thread gave just $1. Just one. We could help him and his family for years to come.
