#TBT: Thirty-three years before Christopher Walken was tapped to play Captain Hook in NBC's #PeterPanLive he played a sleazy, tap-dancing pimp in 1981's Pennies from Heaven. The film's choreographer, Danny Daniels, had been Walken's dance teacher when he was 12.
For his upcoming role as Hook, Walken says he told producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan: "I can sing a little bit, but I'm no great shakes. Maybe you can emphasize the dancing parts." We can't wait to see his performance. Still from Pennies from Heaven courtesy of Photofest.
