PORTER STANDでは「旅」というコンセプトを元にPOSTがセレクトした写真集を販売しています。
本日はその中から「10 Tableaux and 16,952 Pages」をご紹介いたします。
コンセプチュアルアートの作家、河原温。描いた日付をペイントする「デイト・ペインティング」などの代表作を丁寧な編集と写真で記録しています。
デイト・ペインティングは日常的な取り組みのため旅先でも作成されており、その土地の言語で表記されるのが特徴です(日本で作成された作品は英語表記)。
時という目に見えないものに形を与えるという意味でも、とても興味深い作品群です。

At PORTER STAND we carry photobooks selected by POST under a concept of "TRIP".
Among the selections, today we would like to introduce "10 Tableaux and 16,952 Pages".
On Kawara is a conceptual artist. This book neatly records his masterpieces such as the "Date Paintings", that are paintings of the dates he painted them. The date paintings were painted daily even when he has traveled to another country. For those, he painted the dates in the language in that country. (For those painted in Japan, it is English).
They are very interesting pieces, in terms of giving shape to "time", which is not visible in our eyes.
