Bloodroot Seed Ring by #MicheleOkaDoner. The bloodroot seed comes from the deep red ‘Bloodwood’ tree found in tropical South America. The seed of this tree is buoyant and can get caught in the Atlantic currents. Oka Doner sometimes finds the seed on the beaches of Miami to later create pieces such as this ring. Visit The Shaman’s Hut exhibition at Christie’s New York open through Dec 18.
