This week we are looking back at some of the inspiring stories in 2014 from around the Instagram community. Today, it’s the work of wildlife photographer Joe Riis (@joeriis), whose account was featured here on July 6. “I was in the field almost the entire year for National Geographic Magazine (@ナショナルジオグラフィック) and a personal project I’m doing on Greater Yellowstone elk migrations,” says Joe. “This camp life with horses and mules and cameras and fires to cook over became my daily rhythm. That tent was my scene. I photographed it all summer long. Never again did I see those embers fly like this.” Photo by @joeriis
