An inspirational moment from 2014 before we celebrate a new year:
Students from FFA (Future Farmers of America) took over the museum one morning. They were here to celebrate a big addition to the national collections: five iconic FFA jackets. The jackets will be part of our #BusinessHistory exhibition, in a section focusing on youth agricultural education.
As they explored the museum, you could tell that the students, who came from all over the US, could see their own place in our national history. It reminded me how important it is that each of us connect to American history and illustrated the important role the museum plays in powerful experiences like these.
