The #PurpleBlobOfTheWeek has spawned from a category 4 major cyclone in the west Indian Ocean, #Bansi. This storm is currently packing max wind speeds up to 115kts+ and may continue to strengthen over the next 24hrs, possibly graduating to cat 5 status. While tracking SE’erly over the next few days (out of harms way for most places), Bansi will be sending solid swell to Reunion Island, Mauritius, and Madagascar, along with various other places that line the rim of the Indian Ocean, such as India, the Maldives, Indo, and West Oz.
