“I learned that I can take a picture wherever I can see one. With analogue photography I was often confronted with the limitations of the medium, but with the Monochrom I find I can go a step further,” shares Ralph Gibson who after using analogue Leica cameras since 1961, explored the potential of a digital camera for the first time with the Leica M Monochrom. The result was his “Mono” series that was taken in ten different countries – a journey around the world in contrasting black and white.
