Take a look at this fabulous #FossilFriday face.
Hypacrosaurus altispinus was a crested duckbill dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous, about 78 to 67 million years ago. As in humans and other mammals, the skull proportions of this species changed drastically between the juvenile and adult stages of growth. While a young Hypacrosaurus had a short face and rudimentary crest and dental battery, in the adult we see a full developed skull, with a long face, complete tooth batteries, and a magnificent crest.
