Four years ago today, #simonemoro #denisurubko and I stood on the summit of Gasherbrum II in the Karakoram, Pakistan. We became the first team to successfully climb one of Pakistan's 8000 meter peaks in winter. If it were not for my partners, I would never have reached that goal...and the life that has unfolded since would never have been. I'm forever indebted to them for their partnership and support. Since then, I've gone to Everest, done new routes in Antarctica, explored Franz Josef Land, climbed into caves on the border of Nepal and Tibet, walked hundreds of miles through the jungles of Myanmar, and expanded as a human. The road has been a windy, beautiful, and intricate one. I've made plenty of mistakes along the way, learned more about myself than I ever imagined was there to discover, and am continuing to grow everyday. The six short weeks I shared with Denis and Simone changed everything for me and I cannot express how deeply grateful I am to them and the countless others that have become a part of my life in the wake of that day.
