When I was a kid I used to watch Mary Tyler Moore reruns on Nick at Nite. And in the opening titles, I'd always noticed this woman staring at Mary as she threw her hat. No one else had stopped to pay attention to the leggy Minneapolis newcomer as she threw that beret in the air... Except the old lady to Mary's right. I watched this show every night and I always stared at that woman staring at Mary, and thought "if someone ends up killing her, it will be that weirdo in the rain bonnet." Anyway, it dawned on me this morning in one of my 58 pictures of Blanche that she had sort of captured that same stare as crazy murderous rain bonnet lady.
