On Sunday, we're looking forward to celebrating the #Grammys - or should we call it the Eddies? In 1959, the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences considered using “Eddie” as a nickname for the award in order to credit the inventor, Thomas Edison. In the late 1800s, Edison invented the phonograph, later called a gramophone. Today, we honor the #inventor who gave us the ability to record and hear #music.
